Who are you doing it all for? If you're doing it for recognition, just know that that's something that comes and goes. If you're doing it for acceptance and approval, that too is something that is not consistent and that continues to need to be earned. If you're doing it for your family, as much as they might love you, there's nothing that says that they know what's best for you. They might think they do, and they might want what's best for you.

But their understanding of what that is might be limited.

Are you driving in life or are you driven? Many people I know take pride in being driven, and my question is always, what are you driven by? Is it by a need for approval? Is it an insecurity? Is it a need to feel respected?

Is the need for money? Is a need for something outside of you that you think is going to make you feel better? And if you're being driven by something outside of you, is that what you want? I prefer to be driving. I want the steering wheel in my hand.

I want to decide where I'm going. I want to decide how fast I'm getting there. And so the idea of being driven, while it sounds romantic and is very often linked to huge entrepreneurial success, is also often linked to extreme ups and downs and highs and lows emotionally, relationship wise. So I encourage you to consider who are you doing it all for? If you're doing it for recognition, just know that that's something that comes and goes.

If you're doing it for acceptance and approval, that too is something that is not consistent and that continues to need to be earned. If you're doing it for your family, as much as they might love you, there's nothing that says that they know what's best for you. They might think they do, and they might want what's best for you, but their understanding of what that is might be limited. So I encourage you to consider the very simple and basic idea that you can take the steering wheel in your life and you can also decide to have other forces, other higher powers. God, the divine, the universe, if you believe in that.

I happen to. And those can be part of what's helping guide your life. But overall, being driven is kind of like somebody pushing you from behind and trying to send you in a direction. Whether that voice or that driving force is inside you or outside. I don't know about you.

I'd rather be the one who is deciding where to go, how fast, and really just being able to go at a pace, that's my pace. Not for the sake of being a rebel, but simply for the sake of being able to be me and choose my path and live in alignment with my purpose, my values and what's most important. I hope hope this serves you. And as always, I look forward to helping you impact more people and make more money in less time. Do what you do best so you can better enjoy your family, your friends and your life.

Thanks so much for listening.
